General Documents
In TDOC, not only do documents have references, but also all the background administrative information necessary to enable efficient document control.
The following table identifies the size of the references available:

A job may be allocated to a project, and thus an
additional 25 characters are available as reference. |

| Project | 25 | 80 | Each project must have a reference. This reference is available to a job which is attached to it (see Jobs above). |
| Groups | 8 | 80 | Each group must have a reference, and must be allocated a Group Type. Within the parameters, one Group Type must be nominated as "Work Package". |
| Subjects | 8 | Each subject must have a reference. | |
